Understanding feelings and emotions and learning how to manage them can help us a great deal in life and overcoming difficult situations. Most people can haven’t learnt how to be in tune with their feelings and how to regulate them. Counselling can provide a safe and confidential space for individuals and couples to discuss their difficulties and learn skills to self sooth. The initial aim of any form of counselling is around helping the client gain awareness and develop insight into their issues and concerns.
Counselling can help with addressing and resolving specific problems or making decisions in relation to career, life and personal relationships.
There are many different types and models of counselling. Some common counselling models are:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Humanistic therapy
- Integrative Psychotherapy
- Psychodynamic therapy
I am trained in all the models above which means that here at Reinventing Path each client’s needs are assessed and a suitable customised plan of counselling and therapy will be provided.
